Ikigai (pronounced ee-key-guy) is a wonderful Japanese concept that essentially means “a reason for being.” It’s made from two Japanese words: iki, meaning “life” and kai, meaning “effect, result, worth or benefit.” Combined: “a reason for living.”

When I was reading some articles in my Free time, I came across an article titled “Finding my Ikigai”. After reading that interesting article, I wanted to know “What my Ikigai is?”.

This is my Personal Ikigai contains information only about my Profession, Please continue reading if you would like to know what it is.

What do I love?

I love to learn How the applications are working and I have always wanted to develop my own application which fully represents my Own idea. I like to learn new things about software and applications and love teaching those things to others so they can know what magic technology can do. I love to Program and I love to solve a program through programming. i love the challenges that programming has and it interests me even stronger when the challenge is more difficult. I love to put my creative ideas into the program and see how they make an impact on others.

Even I chose Software engineering as my profession, I still want to share what I learn with others more than being a Software Engineer. I Don’t know what is gonna happen but sharing my knowledge with others makes me even satisfied.

What am I good at?

I have gained various skills based on my likings. I am good at some ( Creativity, gaming, coding, Photoshoping, organizing, and teaching) which I am so proud of and I have some skills which I want to improve as well ( video editing and application development). I learned or want to learn these things because they fascinate me.

What does the world need?

I would like to limit the scope of the ‘world’ here to my potential clients, product vendors, enterprises, SMBs, service providers, and the industry. Nowadays there are Quite some amount of students are getting passed out of the universities as SOFTWARE ENGINEERS. But not everyone has the potential to be one.

As a personal opinion, I think the degree is not the one that the industry expects from the students. They expect creativity. they want something new which they haven’t seen before. they want employees who can change a company in a better way.

What can I get paid for?

Turns out that I can potentially get paid for a lot of things that my to-be clients need

Teaching or Lecturing

Services: software development, QA, BA, product management

photo and video editing

gaming

Now I have come to the conclusion of knowing what my Ikigai is. looking at all the above, Ikigai is an analyst or advisor which helps you to identify your own future. what I get from this is I have some paths which I can select and I need to work hard to attain what I really want.
